For those curious folks interested in a deeper and broader exploration of science, technology, culture, and our changing world, UU Casper hosts “Lunch With TED” the last Sunday of each month at noon. Bring a sack lunch to eat while we watch a TED Talk video and participate in a facilitated discussion.  This month we’ll view”We are Dead Stars” by Michelle Thaller. “While the saying “we are stardust” seems poetic but vague, it is literally true. The atoms of your body were created in the cores of stars billions of years ago. We should use this knowledge to draw closer to each other and share the joy and fear of our brief existence.” Everyone is welcome!

TED is a nonprofit organization begun in 1984 and is devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. The project began as a type of conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today, TED Talks cover a wide and interesting range of topics — from science to business to humanity relations.
