We will join Rebecca and Geoff Hunt at their property on Casper Mountain for June 18th Sunday service and potluck feast afterward.

This is one of several potluck feasts planned for this year. One future feast is planned for  Saturday, September 23rd (Feasting With Friends).

See the poster at the church for driving directions or email news@uucasper.org.

The term “potluck” first came to notice in the 16th century in Thomas Nashe’s work and refers to the food or meal available for an unexpected guest at any given time.

It basically means the luck of the pot, wherein an uninvited guest also gets to enjoy a free meal; nowadays, it refers to the community arrangement wherein guests bring their food with them. The main intention of a potluck party is that every guest contributes something to the table to round off the meal.
