The UU Casper Social Justice Group encourages everyone to join them in attending Casper’s International Day of Peace & Autumn Equinox Celebration on Friday, September 21st – sponsored by The Table and Beyond Borders Yoga. According to internationaldayofpeace.org, Peace Day was established in 1981 by a U.N resolution, and “…provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.”
Here is more about the event from its sponsors: “We got rained out at Solabration for our our last musician John May. So we’re making up for it with a river performance on the fall equinox with another debut of his new album. Casper kids will share their own thoughts on peace between sets. And, some of the instructors from Yoga on The Labyrinth will lead a candle lit labyrinth walk after the sun sets. All on the river at The Bart Rea Learning Circle within Amoco Park. Blackbird Wood Fired Pizza and Provisions will be offering the food.”
