Join adventurous souls on a trip to view the ancient petroglyphs at the Castle Gardens Petroglyph Site! This event has been rescheduled to October 20th (from October 13th) due to weather and poor road conditions.
Castle Gardens is about 97 miles from Casper (76 miles west on Hwy 20/26, then 21 miles south on Castle Garden Road (just past Monita). The last 21 miles is dirt road, and 4 wheel drive is recommended. The site is very remote – no cell service, no bathrooms, tables, trash, water supply so please plan accordingly. (The closest bathroom is the Hwy 20/26 rest stop about 1 1/2 hour drive from the Site.)
Bring extra water, a sack lunch and snacks. No pets. We will gather at UU Casper at 9 am to carpool to the site. Everyone and all ages are welcome! For carpooling requests or other information, contact Laura at 307-259-4469, or info@uucasper.org.
