UU Casper Members and Friends!
We have recently discovered the need for some structural repairs to the front of the church building. Additionally, our members and friends have come up with lots of great ideas for our sanctuary and building. The board has recently held discussions on a building “vision,” and the Interior Design Committee has compiled some guidelines for sanctuary decorating as well as a “wish list” of ongoing projects. However, it is difficult for the board and committees to make decisions, set priorities, and allocate resources without an overall vision, or plan for the sanctuary and building. And, we feel that everyone’s voices should be heard in developing that plan!
Therefore, we have scheduled two congregational “Building Plan” meetings to share information and invite input, with the intent of gathering information about our members’ and friends’ values and priorities. The meetings will be:
- 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 25th, and
- 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27th
We may schedule additional meetings if needed. Briefly, some of the projects/ideas are:
- Repairs to front of church
- Sanctuary layout and design
- Sound system improvements
- Signage on building and in yard
- Windows
- Large metal decorative chalice for the wall in the front of sanctuary
- Podium/lectern
