Blessing of the Animals

Many faith traditions conduct an annual Blessing of the animals. The ceremony is held in honor of 12th century monk Francis of Assisis who loved all living creatures. It is customary for members of the congregation to bring their animal companions with them to the service. Instead of live animal friends, we invite members and guests to submit a photo and the name of their animal friends to Janet via email janetdevries@hotmail.com or text at 307-267-0554 by Nov. 5. You are also welcome to bring a stuffed animal with you to the service on Sunday, Nov. 10.
