Special Online Earth-Centered Service: Harvest Odyssey, A Journey with Athena

In celebration of the coming harvest season, we invite you to embark with us upon an odyssey of personal discovery, realization and empowerment.  Seek out treasures from realms within and beyond.  Dissolve the illusions of separation we face in our lives and communities through the practice of fierce loving compassion through innovation and cunning strategies.  This journey begins with a live broadcast on the UU Casper Zoom platform on Friday July 31st at 7:00pm.  Service will feature the Divine Feminine circle ritual with an invocation of Athena, the Greek Goddess of wisdom.  We draw upon Her fierce protective nature and gifts of strategy and cunning to survive and prosper together in these times of crisis.

We shall then depart on our individual and community odyssey across realms of being and experience with the Treasure Hunter meditation, composed by Athne Machdane in the fall of 2019.  This guided visualization sets up a roughly 6-week long self-guided devotional activity wherein we will seek out and gather treasures of experience, community and personal empowerment as well as physical talismans representing this journey we find on the way.  This experience will conclude with a follow-up live broadcast on Friday September 11th at 7:00 pm on the UU Casper Zoom platform where we will once again invite Athena to share with Her and one another in recounting tales of our legendary journeys of realms within and beyond.

These events are offered in place of the traditional gatherings for Lughnasadh and Mabon sabbats offered in prior years.  We emphasize the need for and importance of practicing social distancing and adhering to the current CDC guidelines and UU Community of Casper COVID policies when organizing or participating in any self-guided activities and personal gatherings arising from these service broadcasts and  related devotional practices and journeys.  May all sentient beings be blessed with love and compassion through the practice of our UU principles during this personal and communal odyssey.  Please contact Athne Machdane or Elizabeth Otto for more details or to volunteer to participate in the live broadcasts via Zoom meeting.
