Topic: New Member Service

At the Unitarian Universalist Community of Casper, we joyfully welcome new members through special services that honor the journey of spiritual seeking and the choice to make UU Casper a chosen home.

Our New Member Services are held periodically throughout the year and offer a meaningful moment in worship to celebrate and recognize those who are joining our congregation. During the service, new members are invited to participate in a brief ceremony where they are introduced to the community, affirm their intention to engage with our shared mission, and are warmly welcomed with words of blessing and gratitude.

This service is a time for the entire congregation to reflect on the values that bind us together—compassion, justice, freedom of belief, and the power of community. It is also a reminder that membership is not just a commitment to a congregation, but to a lifelong journey of spiritual growth, service, and connection.

Becoming a member of UU Casper means adding your voice and presence to a community that celebrates diversity, honors each person’s truth, and works together for a better world. Whether you are new to Unitarian Universalism or have long walked this path, our New Member Services honor the sacred step of saying, “This is where I belong.”
