In this talk, end-of-life doula Shante invites the community to reflect on the thresholds we all encounter—moments of change, loss, renewal, and transformation. Drawing from her experiences at the bedside of the dying, she explores how the lessons of death and grief can illuminate the crossings we face in everyday life. Through gentle reflection and story, she reminds us that every ending holds the seed of a new beginning, and that each crossing—no matter how painful or uncertain—can become a sacred act of becoming.
Shante is a certified end-of-life doula and founder of Sacred Farewell, where she offers compassionate guidance for individuals and families navigating death, grief, and life transitions. She also hosts The Sacred Sip Café, a community gathering that opens space for honest and healing conversations about living, dying, and everything in between. Through her work, she helps others honor life’s thresholds with presence, intention, and heart.
