This weekend was busy for UU Casper! We had dueling events scheduled for the night of Saturday, December 20th. On Park Street, at the Wyoming Rescue Mission, our carolers sang traditional Christmas tunes while the residents of the shelter enjoyed their holiday dinner.

On W 15th Street, in the UU Casper building, the Yuletide Evergreen Spiral was underway. In the ceremony, participants walked their candles to the center of the spiral, thought of something that brings them joy, and carried their candles and joy back out of the spiral into the world. Afterward, a potluck feast was devoured with relish.

We hope that next year, we can schedule caroling and the evergreen spiral journey collaboratively so everyone can participate in both! Extra thanks to Jayne, Shayne, and Amanda for organizing! It was a weekend full of magic that was brought to a close with Megan’s Soul-stice service, where we walked through the dark forest in a journeywork meditation, contemplated what no longer serves us, and found our inner light.
