UU Casper’s Justice & Equity Group brings you a talk about nuclear power. Guest speaker Dan Cooper will address the question, “Can Nuclear Power be Safe and Economical?”

We will follow Dan’s talk with a facilitated discussion period.

About Dan Cooper:

Dan is a retired electrical engineer in Casper. He worked on medical instruments, including ten years in France. He also worked on control systems in the oil field. His father was a nuclear engineer.

Dan is passionate about the environment and sustainability. He has studied climate change for sixtyfive years. He and his wife Jennie live in a zero-carbon passive solar house that they designed, halfway up Casper Mountain.

Some of his other interests are singing in the Casper Civic Chorale, amateur astronomy, and entomology. He is the bug guy for the Casper Master Gardeners. He teaches Continuing Education and OLLI classes at Casper College on topics that interest him.
