Family –Love Them, Hate Them, Honor Them

Two people hold an old colonial map of the Americas. A healing glow comes from the hands as the people speak to each other.

Honoring our ancestors, those who have come before us in our blood lineage –dead or living, is a powerful spiritual practice that connects us and grounds us in a sense of belonging, at homeness. But what happens if we don’t know our biological ancestors or worse yet, there’s personal history making it so we don’t want to know them? Elizabeth Jo Otto will explore this question and hopefully give us some ideas to bring this tradition into our spiritual practice so we can heal those wounds.
