On June 15th, we will celebrate our beautiful congregation with a special New Members’ Service, followed by our Annual Congregational Meeting. This is a wonderful opportunity to welcome new faces, reflect on our shared mission, and shape the future of our community.
New Members’ Service: A Warm Welcome
The day will begin with our New Members’ Service, a heartfelt ceremony where we officially welcome new members into the Unitarian Universalist Community of Casper. This service is a celebration of growth, diversity, and the shared values that unite us. Whether you’re a longtime member or new to our congregation, your presence helps strengthen the bonds of our community.
We encourage all members to attend—either in person or via Zoom—to show support for our newest members and ensure a quorum for the meeting that follows. Your participation makes all the difference!
Annual Congregational Meeting: Building Our Future Together
Immediately following the New Members’ Service, we will hold our Annual Congregational Meeting, a cornerstone of our democratic process. This meeting is where we come together to make important decisions that guide our community’s path forward. Here’s what’s on the agenda:
- Welcome and Call to Order: We’ll establish a quorum to ensure our decisions reflect the voice of the congregation.
- Chalice Lighting: A moment to center ourselves in our shared values and purpose.
- Mission and Leadership Covenant: A reminder of the principles and commitments that guide our community.
- Approval of Minutes: We’ll review and approve the minutes from the June 25, 2024, Annual Congregational Meeting.
- Board of Trustees Election: Members will vote to elect Trustees who will provide leadership and stewardship for the coming year.
- President’s Report: A reflection on our achievements and a look ahead to our goals.
- Adoption of the 2025-2026 Operating Budget: We’ll discuss and vote on the budget that will support our programs, services, and mission in the year ahead.
- Group Photo: A fun moment to capture our community spirit!
- Adjournment: We’ll close the meeting, ready to carry our shared vision forward.
