Guest Speaker Rebecca Hunt: The Circle Grows: Letting in the Light of Life

As the weather warms and the light returns we are going to circle back to help our lives return to a point of balance. This interactive service will help us plant the seeds of love and beauty in our lives. UU Casper is excited to welcome back guest speak Rebecca Hunt! Melody Haler will act as service leader. Childcare and youth programming are available during the service, and refreshments and conversation follow. Everyone is welcome!

Annual Flower Communion

Originally created in 1923 by Unitarian minister Norbert Capek of Prague, Czechoslovakia, the Flower Communion is an annual ritual that celebrates beauty, human uniqueness, diversity, and community. In this ceremony, everyone in the congregation brings (or is given) a flower. Each person places a flower on the altar or in a shared vase. The congregation blesses the flowers, and they’re redistributed so that each person brings home a different flower than the one they brought. Click on the link for the full text of the service.

Special Saturday Earth-Centered Service: Beltane Celebration with May Pole Dance

Dance around our Maypole as we invoke springtime blessings of passion and creativity.  Honor the ancient traditions of Beltane which bring fertility to our land, our lives and our community.  Share in communion with Mother Earth as She emerges into full bloom. Everyone of all ages welcome!  Service leader Athne Machdane. This year we are pairing this dynamic Beltane Sabbat ritual experience with our beloved Flower Communion, to take place during the Sunday morning service on the following day, April 28th.

Earth Day Service

The UU Casper Social Justice Group members will present an Earth Day Service. Childcare and youth programming are available during the service, and refreshments and conversation follow. Everyone is welcome!

Productive Dialog Through Finding Common Ground

Janice Holz will lead us in an interactive service about engaging with those we may disagree with and still having a productive dialog.  How do we find that common ground that will allow everyone involved to stay open and engaged?
